Age is but a number where Curves members are concerned.
Spritely at Seventy
As she approached her 70's, Dorothy Wheelahan of Victoria wanted to increase her fitness. And as her local Curves was only up the road, she thought "why not?"!
Can't Get Enough
Despite being a busy lady (Dorothy has been married for over fifty years and has five children and 12 grandchildren!), she soon fell in love with the Curves workout. Though it's only necessary to workout at Curves three times a week to see results, Dorothy goes up to a whole six times a week and says that she would "come on Sunday if it was open!"
Friends & Family
Dorothy had always kept fit and healthy, but has found that doing this at Curves comes with added benefits - "the staff are really friendly and the ladies are wonderful. It is like keeping fit and healthy and also having an extended family." She has also become close friends with another member and they regularly meet for a "cuppa."
Words of Wisdom
As a woman of experience, fit and fabulous 70 year old Dorothy has a word of advice for younger women who are interested in getting into shape: "My advice to the young ones is to just keep going and don't forget to enjoy life. Look after your body because it is the only one you have."
